El nuevo trabajo de Boiz II Men recopila versiones de la mítica Motown

Boyz II Men, uno de los grupos vocales más importantes de la esfera del soul y el R&B también se sube al carro de las versiones (se puede ver el vídeo promocional aquí) para rendirle tributo a la discográfica del sonido de la joven América, con la que comenzó a trabajar en los 90, y lo hace con un trabajo repleto de covers como “Got To Be There” de los Jackson 5, “Mercy, Mercy Me” de Marvin Gaye, o una de las más hermosas de Stevie Wonder, “Ribbon In The Sky”.

Babyface (o Kenneth Edmonds) es uno de mis cantantes favoritos desde que tengo uso de razón porque nadie sabe describir los sentimientos humanos como él lo hace. Sus canciones siempre han estado muy presentes en momentos muy importantes de mi vida, tanto buenos como malos.

Curiosa ha sido la sorpresa que me he llevado cuando he descubierto que Babyface también es el título de una canción de U2 incluida dentro del álbum Zooropa, de 1993. Las coincidencias vienen solas y en el momento más inoportuno. Nada en esta vida es gratuito, así que su significado tendrá.
